Stop by the Gaslamp Museum for a unique historically inspired performance!
Veteran actors Debbie Watts and Tom Dolan will portray John and Lillie Spreckels and present impromptu monologues centering on the first Coronado Flower Show in 1922.
Debbie Watts and Tom Dolan wrote and staged the play ‘The Diaries of John and Lillie Spreckels’ which explores the legendary couple through fictionalized diary entries that reveal John and Lillie’s deep love for each other, stories from their seafaring adventures along the West Coast, and the Spreckels’ many contributions to the San Diego region.
This year’s performance will muse on John and Lillie’s involvement and reactions to the first Coronado Flower show. The Coronado Flower show is celebrating its 100th year in 2022 from April 23-24th.
