William Heath Davis Monument

The Kanaka Davis Trust Group and the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation are proud to sponsor the proposed monument to William Heath Davis, aka Kanaka Davis, the original founder of downtown San Diego and a Pacific Islander pioneer developer.

The monument will be installed in Pantoja Park.  The park is the center of the original 160-acre subdivision built in 1850 and is recognized as the City’s 7th historic landmark.
