Bring your pooch and join us in the historic pocket park to hear the tale of a most remarkable canine friend! The Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House is celebrating Bum, San Diego’s official town dog. Lecturer Dan Haslam, Walkabout International tour guide and GQHF Board Member, will tell the story of San Diego’s beloved Bum. Arriving in “New Town” San Diego as a stowaway on a ship from San Francisco in the late 1880s, Bum soon became well-known among the town folk as the “dog that belonged to no one but was loved by everyone.”
This History Talks! lecture will take place outside in the Davis-Horton House park. Dogs are welcome to attend!
