GQHF offers many tours for our guests: from architectural and historical Children’s Tours, to Gaslamp Quarter Walking Tours, to tours of the Davis-Horton House, and to Ghost Tours and Paranormal Investigations. Our programs serve as educational tools that allow the Foundation to fulfill its mission of preserving the architecture, culture and history of the Gaslamp Quarter, while sharing San Diego’s amazing heritage along the way.

All tours begin or take place at the Davis-Horton House, 410 Island Avenue (at the corner of Fourth and Island Avenue, between Fourth and Fifth Avenue, one block south of Market Street in the Gaslamp).

There are NO REFUNDS.

Walk-ins are welcome, but a spot on the tour cannot be guaranteed if you do not buy tickets 24 hours in advance.   If the tour is in less than 24 hours please call 619-233-4692 for availability.

We also offer custom private tours that include Architectural, Red Light District, Wyatt Earp, and Japanese Historical.  Don’t see what you are looking for? Dimly lit corridors and the light of the moon set the ambiance for an evening tour of the historic Davis-Horton House.
Many souls have passed in and out of the oldest standing edifice in downtown San Diego, and some believe these souls never left. In its 173 year history, the house has been used as a boarding house, private residence, military barracks, county hospital, and even has some Prohibition and espionage history! Join us on a Candlelight tour and hear stories of past residents and present visits from the beyond!

Sunset Cliffs Park meanders along a mile and a half of San Diego’s coastline, beckoning tourists and locals alike. These stunning cliffs inspired Albert Spalding, sportsman and visionary, to create a park in 1915 for all to enjoy. Many have left their mark in the century since, including the mighty Pacific Ocean. John Mills, an enterprising land baron, restored the original park, only to have it fall into neglect during the Depression and World War II. It became a popular spot for pioneering surfers and divers in the postwar boom. The park’s colorful sunsets and landscape attracts artists, children and others that enjoy beauty. This month learn the history of Sunset Cliffs Park with author Kathy Blavatt.
