On Sunday March 20, join GQHF and our Sister City partner for a 2:00 pm “spiff up the statues” spring cleanup party to wash, polish and celebrate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Bum, San Diego’s town dog (who was purportedly born on 7/3/1886 in San Francisco). But who’s counting!

Bring your pooch and a smile and enjoy a few refreshments as we pull out the elbow grease to preserve our bronze canine buddies.

Following our clean up at 3 pm, Dan Haslam (from GQHF and Walkabout International) will lead a free, narrated walk (for dogs and their buddies) in the Gaslamp Quarter area to follow Bum’s paw prints to see where he pranced and squatted during his 12-year reign as San Diego’s dog during the last two decades of the 19th Century.
