Join the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House, The Villa Montezuma Museum. and internationally-acclaimed fiber artist, Marty Ornish, for the opening for “A Splendid Decennium: Victorian to Vanguard” a solo retrospective exhibition.
For the first time, these two venerable Victorian treasures in the Historic Gaslamp Quarter and the Sherman Heights historical district will unite, simultaneously showcasing Marty’s distinctive wearable art, art quilts, and other assemblage.
The Opening will begin at the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House from 12pm-2pm and then progress to the Villa Montezuma Museum from 2pm-4pm. The exhibition will span both properties, or can be viewed separately, but guests are encouraged to visit both for a comprehensive experience of MartyO’s work.
Artist MartyO will talk briefly about the exhibition, light refreshments will be served, and the Gaslamp Museum will be open for self-guided exploration from 12pm to 2pm.
